  • Chronograph: This timing function is separate from the main time-telling function of the watch can be used to record events and operated by two pushers on either side of the crown. The top pusher can be used to start/stop the timer and the bottom can be used to reset the timer. This stopwatch can be used as a reliable tool in various survival situations.
  • Calculate walking speed: Using a Bear Grylls Survival series watch, you can calculate your approximate average walking/hiking speed in an hour. To calculate, start with the second hand at the 12 and walk 164ft (50m). When you reach that distance, the number that the second hand is pointing to on the bezel is your approx. walking speed.
  • Morse code: On the backside of the Land Series signature rubber straps, the Morse code provides both an equivalence for numbers (top part of back of the strap) and for letters (bottom part of the back of the strap). Morse code is of high utility when in need of sending SOS.
  • Ruler on strap: The front of the Bear Grylls Land Series signature rubber strap is a functioning ruler, with one side being in inches, and the other in centimeters. The Bear Grylls watch comes with a steel buckle and a black genuine rubber strap in 24 mm. All straps with the same lug width fit the watch.
